What made you want to become a STEM Ambassador in the first place?
I wanted to become a STEM Ambassador because I’ve always had a strong interest in science and technology, and this role gave me the chance to share that passion with others. Being part of events, answering questions, and encouraging others to explore STEM has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
What has been your biggest learning curve as a STEMbassador?
My biggest learning curve was quickly understanding the activity that was being done at the STEM event. Learning the activity a little before the event was intimidating at first because I didn't want to give the wrong instructions when people asked, but after the first few events, I gained confidence in my understanding.
What tool do you like best and why?
My favorite tool was the 3d printer. Seeing it turn a digital idea into something tangible that can be physically held was amazing.
How is the lab helping you see potential in your future plans for college or career?
Being a STEMbassador showed me how much I enjoy connecting with others which will help me in my future plans of becoming a doctor. It showed me that science is not only about the labs but also about communication and making complex ideas easier to understand.
What has been your biggest success as a STEMbassador so far?
My biggest success was being able to connect with many families and help build interest in STEM.
What are you most proud of from your experiences as a STEM Ambassador?
I am most proud of getting to help out at the STEM Fair every year. This is a really big event that brings together so many people from the community.
What are your plans for next year?
I plan on attending Rutgers Camden for a 7-year BS/DO program.
