DHS Students Participate in Lockheed Martin Leadership Panel

Students from Delran High School, who are potentially interested in future careers in the engineering field, participated in a Leadership Forum hosted by Lockheed Martin on March 11.

DHS students ranging from freshmen to seniors engaged virtually with panelists who are current Lockheed Martin employees. The Lockheed Martin representatives shared the career pathways that led them to their current positions, emphasizing the importance of persistence and mentorship, followed by a Q&A session with the students. Internship and scholarship opportunities were also shared with the students.

Sophomore Sena Uslu shared, "What I really enjoyed about the event was learning about another person's experience and journey. I also liked how they encouraged us to take on engineering although it might be difficult."

Freshman Sohum Patel shared, "Something that I got out of attending the event was being able to learn what to focus on when going to college and what mindset to cling to while going through this process."

Junior Gavin Kumor said he found the event, "very interesting and I learned a lot about different career choices at Lockheed Martin. I learned a good amount about cyber security, which is a major I was interested in studying in college. It also got me more into more engineering majors, and gave me good ideas to look into in the future."

DelranSTEM is very grateful for our longstanding partnership with Lockheed Martin. Events like this one provide wonderful opportunities for our students to interact with Lockheed Martin employees and to think about their future career pathways.
