2024 STEAM Camp & STEAM Academy Information and Policies

STEAM Camp & STEAM Academy in the Fab Lab will run for 4 weeks, Mondays through Thursdays

Week 1 - July 8 - 11

Week 2 - July 15 - 18

Week 3 - July 22 - 25

Week 4 - July 29 -  August 1

STEAM Camp is for students entering grades 2-5. Register for AM sessions, PM sessions, or both!

STEAM Camp AM Sessions (Mondays-Thursdays from 8am - 11am) will focus on the weekly engineering design challenge themes shown on the Camp Flyer. Campers who register for both AM & PM sessions will be supervised from 11-11:45 for lunch and outdoor play. Register for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 weeks!

STEAM Camp PM Sessions (Mondays-Thursdays from 11:45am-2:45pm)  Coding & Robotics. Campers will learn basic coding, build LEGO robots, and learn to program them. Campers who attend multiple weeks will get to build more complex robots and learn more intricate programming.

STEAM Academy in the Delran Innovation & Fabrication Lab is for students entering grades 6-8. STEAM Academy will focus on digital fabrication using all of the software and machines in our Fab Lab, including 3D printers, laser cutters, die cutters, vinyl cutters, heat press, and more! 

Middle School STEAM Academy will be offered all weeks from 8-11am and from 11:45am-2:45pm - Choose AM sessions OR PM sessions (not both!)

Each week of STEAM Academy will focus on different projects - attend as many weeks as you want!

PAYMENT INFORMATION 

• Deposit due at the time of registration, with final balance due by June 1.  

• The amount of the deposit is the cost of one session.

• Payments may be made by cash or check, accompanied by the payment form. Click here to print the payment form for cash/check payments.

• ONLINE PAYMENTS WILL OPEN by March 4!

• New for 2024 - Online payment option through www.pay4schoolstuff.com - create an account and choose "Delran STEAM Camp" as the school. Online payments will become available the first week of March. Please note - there is a convenience fee automatically added to online payments.

• Partial Scholarships available for students with financial need (based on qualification for Free or Reduced lunch prices). Contact Mrs. Hutchinson  for more information: steamcamp@delranschools.org 

 

 

POLICY INFORMATION 

• No refunds for cancellations made after the final payment deadline of June 1.

• STEAM Camp & STEAM Academy registration is not transferrable to other students.

• Registration is open to all students entering grades 2-8, whether they attend Delran Schools or another school. 

• Please note that if your child attends Delran Schools and qualifies for Extended School Year (ESY) through their IEP, their Extended School Year program will take precedence over STEAM Camp registration.

• If your child is dismissed from STEAM Camp or STEAM Academy due to behavior, no refund will be issued.

 

 

2024 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Students must be entering grades 9-12 in order to volunteer at STEAM Camp. Deadline for Volunteer applications is May 24 by 2:15pm. DHS Students may earn community service hours by volunteering at STEAM Camp.
